حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ يُصَلُّونَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَاقِدِي أُزُرِهِمْ عَلَى رِقَابِهِمْ كَهَيْئَةِ الصِّبْيَانِ فَيُقَالُ لِلنِّسَاءِ لَا تَرْفَعْنَ رُءُوسَكُنَّ حَتَّى يَسْتَوِيَ الرِّجَالُ جُلُوسًا

✧ I heard Sahl b. Saʿd say: Men used to pray with the Prophet ﷺ tying their wrappers around their necks like children, so it was said to the women, “Do not raise your heads until the men are seated properly.”
