حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَالِمٍ الْكُوفِيُّ الْمَفْلُوجُ وَكَانَ ثِقَةً حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ أَبِي صَادِقٍ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ نَاجِدٍ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْخُذُ الْوَبَرَةَ مِنْ جَنْبِ الْبَعِيرِ مِنَ الْمَغْنَمِ فَيَقُولُ مَا لِي فِيهِ إِلَّا مِثْلُ مَا لِأَحَدِكُمْ مِنْهُ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْغُلُولَ؛ فَإِنَّ الْغُلُولَ خِزْيٌ عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَدُّوا الْخَيْطَ وَالْمَخِيطَ وَمَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ وَجَاهِدُوا فِي سَبِيلِاللهِ الْقَرِيبَ وَالْبَعِيدَ فِي الْحَضَرِ وَالسَّفَرِ؛ فَإِنَّ الْجِهَادَ بَابٌ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ إِنَّهُ لَيُنَجِّي اللهُ بِهِ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْغَمِّ وَأَقِيمُوا حُدُودَ اللهِ فِي الْقَرِيبِ وَالْبَعِيدِ وَلَا تَأْخُذْكُمْ فِي اللهِ لَوْمَةُ لَائِمٍ
Translation

- ʿAbdullāh
✧ The Prophet ﷺ would take a hair from the side of a camel from the spoils and say, “I have no right in it except the like of what one of you has from it. Beware of misappropriating spoils, for misappropriating spoils is disgrace upon its owner on the Day of Resurrection. Render the thread and the needle and what is above that. Strive in the path of God for the near and the far, in settled life and in travel, for jihad is a gate among the gates of Paradise. Indeed, God saves through it from worry and grief. And establish the limits of God for the near and the far, and let not the blame of any blamer overtake you concerning God.”
