حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْبَزَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ عِيسَى قَالَ وَكَانَ أَمِيرًا عَلَى الرَّقَّةِ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا مِنْ أَمِيرِ عَشَرَةٍ إِلَّا جِيءَ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَغْلُولَةٌ يَدُهُ إِلَى عُنُقِهِ حَتَّى يُطْلِقَهُ الْحَقُّ أَوْ يُوبِقَهُ وَمَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ ثُمَّ نَسِيَهُ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ أَجْذَمُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There is no leader of ten except that he will be brought on the Day of Resurrection with his hand bound to his neck until the truth releases him or destroys him. And whoever learns the Qur'an and then forgets it will meet Allah with a mutilated hand.'
