حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنِي الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَ عَنْ جُنَادَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

عَلَيْكَ السَّمْعَ وَالطَّاعَةَ فِي عُسْرِكَ وَيُسْرِكَ، وَمَنْشَطِكَ وَمَكْرَهِكَ، وَأَثَرَةٍ عَلَيْكَ، وَلَا تُنَازِعِ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ، وَإِنْ رَأَيْتَ أَنَّ لَكَ

✧ You must hear and obey in hardship and ease, in what you like and what you dislike, and when others are preferred over you. Do not dispute authority with its people, even if you think you have a right.
