✧ My father, Qatadah al-Ansari

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْعُمَيْسِ حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ الزُّرَقِيِّ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ سُلَيْمٍعَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ

كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَابْنَتُهُ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ، وَقَالَ مَرَّةً: حَمَلَ أُمَامَةَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي، وَكَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ أَوْ يَسْجُدَ وَضَعَهَا، فَإِذَا قَامَ أَخَذَهَا

Translation

✧ He would pray with his daughter on his shoulder. And once he said: He carried Umamah while he was praying. When he wanted to bow or prostrate, he would put her down, and when he stood, he would take her.
