✧ He was with the Messenger of God ﷺ until when he was on part of the road to Makkah, he lagged behind with companions of his who were in ihram while he was not in ihram. He saw a wild donkey, mounted his horse, and asked his companions to hand him his whip, but they refused. He asked them for his spear, but they refused. He took it, then charged at the donkey and killed it. Some of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ ate from it, and some refused. When they caught up with the Messenger of God ﷺ, they asked him about that. He said: "It is only a provision that God [Mighty and Majestic] has fed you."
