حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَتَّابٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي، يَحْمِلُ أُمَامَةَ - أَوْ: أُمَيْمَةَ - ابْنَةَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، وَهِيَ بِنْتُ زَيْنَبَ يَحْمِلُهَا إِذَا قَامَ، وَيَضَعُهَا إِذَا رَكَعَ حَتَّى فَرَغَ

✧ I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ praying while carrying Umamah—or Umaymah—daughter of Abu al-As, and she was the daughter of Zaynab. He would carry her when he stood, and put her down when he bowed, until he finished.
