✧ I went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the campaign of Khaybar, and I was the sixth of six women. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ learned that women were with him, so he sent for us and said: 'What brought you out? By whose command have you come out?' We said: 'We came out to hand arrows, give the people sawiq to drink, and we have with us what we use to treat the wounded. We spin hair and use it to help in the cause of Allah.' He said: 'Arise and depart.' When Allah granted him victory at Khaybar, he allotted us shares like the shares of men. I said: 'O grandmother, what did he allot you?' She said: 'Dates.'
