✧ Abu Umamah al-Bahili entered Damascus and saw the heads of Harura' displayed. He said: 'Dogs of the Fire! Dogs of the Fire!' three times. 'The worst of those killed under the shade of the sky; the best of those killed are those whom they killed.' Then he wept. A man stood up to him and said: 'O Abu Umamah, is this what you say from your own opinion or did you hear it?' He said: 'Then I would be bold indeed. How could I say this from opinion?' He said: 'I heard it more than once, and more than twice.' He said: 'Then what makes you weep?' He said: 'I weep for their departure from Islam—these who split apart and took their religion as sects.'
