✧ We attended a feast given by 'Abd al-A'la b. Hilal. When we finished eating, Abu Umamah stood up and said: 'I have stood in this position, and I am not a preacher, nor do I intend to give a sermon, but I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say at the conclusion of a meal: "Praise be to Allah, abundant, good, and blessed in it, neither insufficient nor abandoned nor dispensable." He kept repeating these words to us until we memorized them.'
