حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الطَّالَقَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ

مَنْ مَسَحَ رَأْسَ يَتِيمٍ لَمْ يَمْسَحْهُ إِلَّا لِلهِ كَانَ لَهُ [فِي كُلِّ] شَعَرَةٍ مَرَّتْ عَلَيْهَا يَدُهُ حَسَنَاتٌ، وَمَنْ أَحْسَنَ إِلَى يَتِيمَةٍ أَوْ يَتِيمٍ عِنْدَهُ كُنْتُ أَنَا وَهُوَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ كَهَاتَيْنِ وَفَرَّقَ بَيْنَ إِصْبَعَيْهِ السَّبَّاحَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى

Translation

✧ Whoever wipes the head of an orphan, not wiping it except for Allah's sake, will have for every hair his hand passes over good deeds. And whoever treats kindly an orphan girl or boy under his care, I and he will be in Paradise like these two - and he separated his index and middle fingers.
