✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ enjoined upon me ten words. He said: 'Do not associate anything with God, even if you are killed and burned. Do not disobey your parents, even if they command you to leave your family and your wealth. Do not deliberately abandon an obligatory prayer, for whoever deliberately abandons an obligatory prayer, God's protection is released from him. Do not drink wine, for it is the head of every indecency. Beware of disobedience, for by disobedience the wrath of God, Mighty and Majestic, descends. Beware of fleeing from the battlefield, even if the people perish. If a plague afflicts the people and you are among them, remain steadfast. Spend on your dependents from your means, and do not lift your staff from them as discipline, and make them fear God.'
