✧ My Father and Waged al-Laithi

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ سَرْجِسَ

أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ صَاحِبِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ أَخَفَّ النَّاسِ صَلَاةً عَلَى النَّاسِ، وَأَدْوَمَهُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ [ ﷺ ].

✧ He entered upon Abū Wāqid al-Laythī, the Companion of the Prophet ﷺ, during his final illness in which he died, and he said: 'The Messenger of God ﷺ was the lightest of people in prayer upon the people, and the most constant in it upon himself ﷺ.'
