✧ That the Prophet ﷺ bought a horse from a Bedouin, and the Prophet ﷺ asked him to follow him so that he could pay him the price of his horse. The Prophet ﷺ walked quickly while the Bedouin was slow, so some men began to intercept the Bedouin and bargain with him over the horse, not realizing that the Prophet ﷺ had bought it, until one of them outbid the price for which the Prophet ﷺ had bought the horse. The Bedouin called out to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'If you are going to buy this horse, then buy it; otherwise I will sell it.' The Prophet ﷺ stood up when he heard the Bedouin's call and said: 'Have I not already bought it from you?' The Bedouin said: 'No, by Allah, I have not sold it to you.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Yes, I have bought it from you.' The people began to gather around the Prophet ﷺ and the Bedouin while they were arguing back and forth. The Bedouin began to say: 'Bring a witness to testify that I sold it to you.' Whoever came from the Muslims said to the Bedouin: 'Woe to you! The Prophet ﷺ would not say anything but the truth.' Until Khuzaymah came and listened to the exchange between the Prophet ﷺ and the Bedouin. The Bedouin kept saying: 'Bring a witness to testify that I sold it to you.' Khuzaymah said: 'I bear witness that you did sell it to him.' The Prophet ﷺ turned to Khuzaymah and said: 'On what basis do you bear witness?' He said: 'On the basis of believing you, O Messenger of Allah.' So the Prophet ﷺ made Khuzaymah's testimony equivalent to the testimony of two men.
