حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ جَعَلَ لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثًا، وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً. قَالَ: وَايْمُ اللهِ، لَوْ مَضَى السَّائِلُ فِي مَسْأَلَتِهِ لَجَعَلَهَا خَمْسًا

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ set three for the traveler and a day and a night for the resident. He said: By God, if the questioner had continued in his questioning, He would have made it five.
