✧ Whoever swears a solemn oath in which he is sinful, to obtain thereby wealth, will meet Allah while He is angry with him. Its confirmation is in the Quran: Indeed, those who purchase a small gain with the covenant of Allah and their oaths... to the end of the verse. He said: Al-Ash'ath went out reciting it and said: 'This verse was revealed about me. A man claimed a well of mine, and we brought our dispute to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: Your two witnesses or his oath. I said: But if he swears, he swears falsely.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever swears a solemn oath to obtain thereby wealth, will meet Allah while He is angry with him.'
