✧ Osama bin Zaid's Love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ أَخْبَرَنَا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ يُحَدِّثُ سَعْدًا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ

إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ بِالطَّاعُونِ بِأَرْضٍ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوهَا، وَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا. قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ يُحَدِّثُ سَعْدًا وَهُوَ لَا يُنْكِرُ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ

✧ When you hear of a plague in a land, do not enter it, and when it occurs in a land while you are in it, do not leave it. He (the narrator) said: I said: Did you hear him narrating it to Saʿd, and he did not object? He said: Yes.
