✧ Two men from them stood up and asked him, so he said, "It is Dhuhr (midday prayer)." Then they went to Usama ibn Zaid and asked him, and he said, "It is Dhuhr (midday prayer). Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray Dhuhr at the time of Hajir, and there would be no one behind him except for the rows and the Safwan from the people in their neighborhood and their trade." So Allah, the Almighty, revealed: "Guard strictly the (five obligatory) prayers, especially the middle prayer and stand before Allah with obedience." [Quran 2:238]. He (the Prophet) said, "Men should stop delaying, or else I will set their houses on fire."
