✧ The daughter of the Prophet ﷺ sent a message that her son was dying and asked him to come to us. He sent back greetings and said, 'To Allah belongs what He takes, and to Him belongs what He gives, and everything with Him has an appointed term.' Then she sent to him adjuring him to come. He stood up, and we stood with him: Mu'adh b. Jabal, Ubayy b. Ka'b, and Sa'd b. 'Ubada. He took the child while its soul was rattling. His eyes filled with tears. Sa'd said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is this?' He said, 'This is a mercy that Allah has placed in the hearts of His servants. Allah shows mercy to those of His servants who are merciful.'
