✧ I said: Tell me how you did on the evening when you rode behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: We came to the mountain pass where the people make their camels kneel for sunset prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ made his she-camel kneel, then he urinated - he did not say: he poured out water - then he called for ablution water and performed ablution, but not a very thorough one. He said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, the prayer? He said: The prayer is ahead of you. He said: Then he rode until he reached Muzdalifah, where he performed the sunset prayer. Then the people made their camels kneel at their camping places, and they did not unload their luggage until he performed the night prayer [the later one], and then the people unloaded. He said: I said: How did you do when morning came? He said: Al-Fadl b. Abbas rode behind him, and I went on foot among the foremost of Quraysh.
