Notes

machine translationThis is a hadith whose chain is disputed. If it is authentic (ṣaḥīḥ), it is taken to refer to intentional vomiting, and it is as if he ﷺ was fasting a voluntary fast. And he said in another place: "Its chain is inconsistent (muḍṭarib), and no proof can be established by it."
