Translation

✧ I conversed privately with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night until dawn, and I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, appoint me to command.' He said: 'It is a trust, and on the Day of Resurrection it is disgrace and regret, except for one who takes it with its due right and fulfills what is required of him in it.'
