Translation

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was sitting in the shade of the Kaʿbah. When he saw me approaching, he said: They are the greatest losers, by the Lord of the Kaʿbah. I said: What is wrong with me? Perhaps something was revealed about me. Who are they, may my father and mother be your ransom? He said: Those who have the most wealth, except one who does like this — and he scooped with his hands in front of him, and to his right and to his left. He said: Then he said: By the One in whose hand is my soul, no one of you dies leaving camels, cattle, and sheep on which he did not pay their zakah, except that they will come to him on the Day of Resurrection as large and fat as they ever were, trampling him with their hoofs and goring him with their horns. Every time the last of them passes, the first of them will be brought back to him, until judgment is passed between the people.
