✧ I was sitting with some people of Quraysh when Abu Dharr came until he was close to them. He said: Let the hoarders be given glad tidings of a branding from their backs that will emerge from their bellies, and a branding from the backs of their necks that will emerge from their foreheads. Then he stepped aside and sat down. I said: Who is this? They said: Abu Dharr. So I went to him and said: What is this thing I heard you proclaim? He said: I did not say anything to them except something they had heard from their Prophet ﷺ. I said to him: What do you say about this grant? He said: Take it, for in it today there is support; but if it becomes a price for your religion, then leave it.
