✧ I passed by 'Umar b. al-Khattab, and he said: 'What a good young man.' A man who was with him followed me and said: 'O nephew, supplicate to Allah for good for me.' I said: 'Who are you, may Allah have mercy on you?' He said: 'I am Abu Dharr, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' I said: 'May Allah forgive you, you are more deserving to supplicate for me than I for you!' He said: 'O nephew, I heard 'Umar b. al-Khattab say when you passed by just now: "What a good young man," and I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Allah has placed the truth upon the tongue of 'Umar, and he speaks by it."'
