حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ

يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ الْكَلْبُ الْأَسْوَدُ أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: وَالْمَرْأَةُ الْحَائِضُ. قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي ذَرٍّ: مَا بَالُ الْكَلْبِ الْأَسْوَدِ؟ قَالَ: أَمَا إِنِّي قَدْ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ ذَاكَ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّهُ شَيْطَانٌ

Translation

✧ The prayer is cut off by a black dog — I think he said: and a menstruating woman. I said to Abu Dharr: 'What about the black dog?' He said: 'Indeed, I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about that, and he said: "It is a devil."'
