✧ We returned from a funeral and passed by Zayd b. Wahb, who narrated from Abu Dharr saying: We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey. The muezzin wanted to give the call to prayer, so the Prophet ﷺ said: “Wait for it to cool.” Then he wanted to give the call, and the Prophet ﷺ said: “Wait for it to cool.” [Then he wanted to give the call, and the Prophet ﷺ said: “Wait for it to cool.”] He said it three times. He said: Until we saw the shadow of the hillocks. Then he prayed and said: “The intensity of heat is from the blazing of Hell, so when the heat becomes intense, delay the prayer until it cools.”
