✧ I came to Madinah, and while I was in a circle in which there was a group of Quraysh, a man came and mentioned the hadith. I followed him until he sat by a pillar, and I said, 'I think these people disliked what you said to them.' He said, 'My intimate friend Abu al-Qasim ﷺ called me and said, "O Abu Dharr," so I answered him. Then he said, "Do you see Uhud?" So I looked at what was visible of the sun, thinking he was sending me on an errand, and I said, "I see it." He said, "It would not please me to have the like of it in gold and spend it all except three dinars."'
