حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ أُخْتَهُ نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَمْشِيَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ، وَشَكَى إِلَيْهِ ضَعْفَهَا. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: إِنَّ اللهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْ نَذْرِ أُخْتِكَ؛ فَلْتَرْكَبْ، وَلْتُهْدِ بَدَنَةً

✧ That 'Uqbah b. 'Amir asked the Prophet ﷺ saying: "My sister vowed to walk to the House," and he complained to him of her weakness. The Prophet ﷺ said: "God is self-sufficient and does not need your sister's vow; let her ride and offer a sacrificial camel."
