✧ "I sat with a group of Quraysh and a man approached, and he began praying, bowing, prostrating, then standing, then bowing, and prostrating again without sitting. So, I said, "By Allah, I don't see him responding to Shaf' or Witr prayers." They said, "Why don't you approach him and ask him?" So, I stood up and said, "O Abdullah, I don't see you responding to Shaf' or Witr prayers." He said, "Certainly, Allah knows. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever prostrates to Allah in a single prostration, Allah writes for him a good deed, erases a sin for him, and raises him in rank.' So, I said, "Who are you?" He replied, "Abu Dharr." So, I returned to my companions and said, "May Allah reward you for the worst company. You ordered me to teach a man from the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
