✧ A woman said, "Congratulations to you, O Uthman bin Maz'un, for Paradise." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at her with anger and said, "And how do you know?" She said, "O Messenger of Allah, your horseman and companion told me." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By Allah, I am the Messenger of Allah and I do not know what will be done to me." The people felt sorry for Uthman. When Zaynab, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, died, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Join me with my pious predecessors, Uthman bin Maz'un." So the women cried and Umar began to hit them with his whip. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took his hand and said, "Wait, O Umar." Then he said, "Weep and beware of Satan's incitement." Then he said, "Indeed, whatever arises from the eye and the heart is from Allah and His Mercy, and whatever arises from the hand and the tongue is from Satan."
