What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

machine translationThe hadith of al-Thawrī from Ubayy is more sound (aṣaḥḥ); he is the best memorizer among them and is higher than these by several degrees. The hadith is more fitting as from Ubayy, since ʿĀṣim narrated it from Zirr, from Ubayy, from the Prophet ﷺ, and Ḥudhayfah has nothing from the Prophet ﷺ concerning the two Muʿawwidhatayn that carries any weight.

    in مسند أحمد, p. 21511
  • Abū al-Ḥasan Nur al-Dīn ʿAlī b. Abi Bakr al-Haythamī

machine translationIt is in the Ṣaḥīḥ, except for their erasure from the muṣḥaf. Aḥmad and al-Ṭabarānī narrated it, and the men of Aḥmad are the men of the Ṣaḥīḥ.

    in مسند أحمد, p. 21511
