حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ وَهَذَا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَعَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ
مَا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَلَا فِي الْإِنْجِيلِ مِثْلَ أُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ، وَهِيَ السَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي، وَهِيَ مَقْسُومَةٌ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي، وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ

✧ Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has not sent down in the Torah or the Gospel anything like the Mother of the Qur'an. It is the seven oft-repeated verses, and it is divided between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for.
