حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ
قُلْنَا لِخَبَّابٍ: هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: فَقُلْنَا: فَبِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كُنْتُمْ تَعْرِفُونَ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: فَقَالَ: بِاضْطِرَابِ لِحْيَتِهِ
Translation

✧ We said to Khabbāb: Did the Messenger of God ﷺ recite in the noon and afternoon prayers? He said: Yes. We said: How did you know that? He said: By the movement of his beard.
