✧ I was a blacksmith in Makkah, and I used to work for al-'As b. Wa'il. Some dirhams accumulated for me with him, so I came to demand payment. He said: I will not pay you until you disbelieve in Muhammad. He said: I said: By Allah, I will not disbelieve in Muhammad ﷺ until you die and then are resurrected. He said: And when I am resurrected, will I have wealth and children? He said: I mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ, and Allah [Blessed and Exalted] revealed: 'Have you seen the one who disbelieved in Our verses and said, "I will surely be given wealth and children"?' until He reached 'alone.'
