Translation

✧ Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate some food, he would send its leftovers to Abu Ayyub. Abu Ayyub would put his fingers where he saw the Prophet's ﷺ fingers. Once food was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he detected in it the smell of garlic, so he did not eat it and sent it to Abu Ayyub. Abu Ayyub did not see in it the traces of the Prophet's ﷺ fingers, so he said, "O Messenger of Allah, I did not see the traces of your fingers in it." He said, "I found in it the smell of garlic." He said, "Do you send me what you are not eating?" He said, "The angel comes to me."
