حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ نَبَّأَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ
أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا قَالَ فَقَالَ لِي جَابِرٌ مَنْ نَبَّأَكَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَخْطُبُ قَاعِدًا فَقَدْ كَذَبَ فَقَدْ وَاللهِ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ أَلْفَيْ صَلَاةٍ
Translation

✧ He saw the Prophet ﷺ deliver a sermon standing on the pulpit, then sit, then stand and deliver a sermon standing. Jabir said to me: 'Whoever tells you that he used to deliver a sermon sitting has lied, for by Allah, I prayed with him more than two thousand prayers.'
