✧ Worship of b. Qurt

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ قُرْصٍ أَوْ قُرْطٍ
إِنَّكُمْ لَتَعْمَلُونَ الْيَوْمَ أَعْمَالًا هِيَ أَدَقُّ فِي أَعْيُنِكُمْ مِنَ الشَّعَرِ، كُنَّا نَعُدُّهَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْمُوبِقَاتِ. فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي قَتَادَةَ: فَكَيْفَ لَوْ أَدْرَكَ زَمَانَنَا هَذَا ؟ فَقَالَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ: لَكَانَ لِذَلِكَ أَقْوَلَ

✧ About Ubada ibn Qurt or Qurt, you are doing deeds today that are more precise in your eyes than hair. We used to count them during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the major sins, so I said to Abu Qatadah, "What if our time reaches this?" Abu Qatadah said, "That is why I say."
