حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ عَنْ شَيْخٍ فِي مَجْلِسِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَائِذِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ
كَانَ فِي الْمَاءِ قِلَّةٌ، فَتَوَضَّأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي قَدَحٍ أَوْ جَفْنَةٍ، فَنَضَحَنَا بِهِ، قَالَ: وَالسَّعِيدُ فِي أَنْفُسِنَا مَنْ أَصَابَهُ، وَلَا نُرَاهُ إِلَّا قَدْ أَصَابَ الْقَوْمَ كُلَّهُمْ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الضُّحَى
Translation

✧ There was a scarcity of water, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution in a small vessel or in a cup, and we (the companions) used the water that he poured for us. He ﷺ said, "The fortunate among us are those who receive it, and we do not see anyone who receives it except that the entire people have received it." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in performing the Duha prayer.
