✧ Qubaisah bin Mukhariq's Account about the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ

لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ: وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ صَعِدَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَقْمَةً مِنْ جَبَلٍ عَلَى أَعْلَاهَا حَجَرٌ، فَجَعَلَ يُنَادِي: يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ، إِنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِيرٌ، إِنَّمَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُكُمْ كَرَجُلٍ رَأَى الْعَدُوَّ، فَذَهَبَ يَرْبَأُ أَهْلَهُ، فَخَشِيَ أَنْ يَسْبِقُوهُ، فَجَعَلَ يُنَادِي وَيَهْتِفُ: يَا صَبَاحَاهْ.

✧ When the verse "And warn your closest kinsfolk" was revealed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ climbed a rock on the highest part of a mountain and began calling out: "O Banu 'Abd Manaf! I am only a warner. My example and yours is like a man who saw the enemy and went to warn his people, but feared they would overtake him, so he began calling and shouting: 'O morning attack!'"
