حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ عَنْ حَيَّانَ حَدَّثَنِي قَطَنُ بْنُ قَبِيصَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ

إِنَّ الْعِيَافَةَ وَالطَّرْقَ وَالطِّيَرَةَ مِنَ الْجِبْتِ

Translation

Chain of narrators

✧ Indeed, divination by birds, drawing lines in the sand, and taking omens from birds are from al-jibt (falsehood/sorcery).
