حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي بَكَرَةَ

أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَكْتُبَ إِلَى ابْنٍ لَهُ وَكَانَ قَاضِيًا بِسِجِسْتَانَ أَمَّا بَعْدُ: فَلَا تَحْكُمَنَّ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَنْتَ غَضْبَانُ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: لَا يَحْكُمْ أَحَدٌ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ وَهُوَ غَضْبَانُ

Translation

✧ His father commanded him to write to a son of his who was a judge in Sijistan: To proceed: Do not judge between two people while you are angry, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: No one should judge between two people while he is angry.
