✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the pulpit, and Hasan ﷺ was with him. He was turning to the people at one time and to him at another, saying: 'Indeed, this son of mine is a master, and perhaps Allah [Blessed and Exalted] will reconcile through him two factions of the Muslims.'

  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationAḥmad b. ʿAbd al-Ṣamad al-Nahrawānī, who is well known and unobjectionable, narrated it from Ibn ʿUyaynah, from Ayyūb, from al-Ḥasan, but he erred in it. Rather, Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from Abū Mūsā Isrāʾīl, from al-Ḥasan, from Abū Bakrah. Likewise Yūnus, Manṣūr and ʿAmr b. ʿUbayd narrated it from al-Ḥasan, and that is the established version.
