✧ One day I approached with Mihjan until we reached the mosque of Basra, and we found Burayda al-Aslami sitting at one of the mosque's gates. He said: There was a man in the mosque called Sukba who prolonged the prayer. When we reached the mosque's gate with Burayda at it, he said—and Burayda was one for jesting—'O Mihjan, will you not pray as Sukba prays?' Mihjan did not answer him and turned back. He said: Mihjan said to me: The Messenger of God ﷺ took my hand and set off walking until he climbed Uhud and looked over Madinah. He said: 'Woe to its mother! A town whose people will leave it when it is at its most prosperous. The Dajjal will come to it and find an angel with a drawn sword at every gate, so he will not enter it.' He said: Then he descended until we were at the mosque's entrance, and the Messenger of God ﷺ saw a man praying in the mosque, prostrating and bowing, prostrating and bowing. He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: 'Who is this?' He said: I began to praise him to him. I said: 'O Messenger of God, this is so-and-so and this and this.' He said: 'Be quiet, lest he hear you and you ruin him.' He said: Then he walked on until we were at a chamber, but he let go of my hand and said: 'The best of your religion is its easiest, the best of your religion is its easiest, the best of your religion is its easiest.'
