حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ قَالَ
سَمُرَةُ حَفِظْتُ سَكْتَتَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ سَكْتَةٌ إِذَا كَبَّرَ الْإِمَامُ حَتَّى يَقْرَأَ وَسَكْتَةٌ إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ قِرَاءَةِ فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَسُورَةٍ عِنْدَ الرُّكُوعِ قَالَ فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ فَكَتَبُوا إِلَى أُبَيٍّ فِي ذَلِكَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ فَصَدَقَ سَمُرَةُ
Translation

✧ Samurah said: "I memorized two pauses in the prayer: a pause when the imam said the takbir until he recited, and a pause when he finished reciting the Fatihah of the Book and a surah before bowing." He said: "'Imran b. Husayn objected to that, so they wrote to Ubayy about it in Madinah." He said: "Samurah spoke the truth."
