✧ From the narration of Samurah bin Jundub, about the Prophet ﷺ.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

مَا خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خُطْبَةً إِلَّا نَهَانَا عَنِ الْمُثْلَةِ وَأَمَرَنَا بِالصَّدَقَةِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never gave us a sermon except that he forbade us from mutilation and commanded us to give charity.
