حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحُرِّعَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَحْتَجِمُ بِقَرْنٍ وَهُو يُشْرَطُ بِطَرْفِ سِكِّينٍ فَدَخَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ شَمْخَ فَقَالَ لَهُ لِمَ تُمَكِّنُ ظَهْرَكَ أَوْ عُنُقَكَ مِنْ هَذَا يَفْعَلُ بِهَا مَا أَرَى؟ فَقَالَ هَذَا الْحَجْمُ وَهُوَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ

✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ being cupped with a horn while he was being cut with the edge of a knife. Then a man from Shamkh entered and said to him: “Why do you expose your back or your neck to this one doing what I see?” He said: “This is cupping, and it is among the best with which you treat yourselves.”
