حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَأَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَصَابَ مَتَاعَهُ بِعَيْنِهِ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ وَيَتْبَعُ صَاحِبُهُ مَنْ اشْتَرَاهُ مِنْهُ وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ مَرَّةً مَنْ وَجَدَ مَتَاعَهُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'Whoever finds his property with his own eyes (i.e., in the possession of another), he is more entitled to it, and the one who bought it from him should seek recourse against the seller.' Yazid once said: 'Whoever finds his property.'
