✧ A man about the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ وَأَحْسَنَ الثَّنَاءَ عَلَيْهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَوْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ

صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنْ قَدْرِ رُكُوعِهِ وَسُجُودِهِ فَقَالَ: قَدْرُ مَا يَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ، ثَلَاثًا

Translation

✧ I prayed behind the Messenger of God ﷺ. We asked him about the duration of his bowing and prostration, and he said: The time it takes a man to say 'Glory be to God and with His praise' three times.
