حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا أُتِيَ بِالشَّيْءِ سَأَلَ عَنْهُ أَهَدِيَّةٌ أَمْ صَدَقَةٌ ؟ فَإِنْ قَالُوا هَدِيَّةٌ بَسَطَ يَدَهُ، وَإِنْ قَالُوا صَدَقَةٌ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ: خُذُوا
Translation

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ was brought something, he would ask about it: Is it a gift or charity? If they said gift, he would extend his hand; if they said charity, he would say to his companions: Take it.
